Artist's Description
I saw this tender moment between a young woman and her grandmother who was 100 years old. It was so sweet, so I took the photo, cropped the hands and printed it. Love the way the eldery lade has flowers painted on her aging hands.
About Patricia Haynes
I have loved photography since my grandmother gave me my first camera (a Brownie Hawkeye, which I still have) at the age of 15. I have been passionate about taking photos ever since. Marti, I am so sorry for the loss of both of your parents. It is a profond loss and my heart goes out to you. I am glad that you liked this photograph. It means a lot to me also. I'm glad you felt what I do when I look at it. It does show love and it's good to know they are in a good place and we'll see them again. Thank you for your meaningful comment.

I'm glad you noticed this also. They were just sitting there quietly grandmother and granddughter and I noticed the hands. I think it was just a natural thing for them to do hold hands. It looked lovely to me and I wanted to keep that moment. I had my camera in my purse and took the photo from across the room. I had it done on canvas for them. The granddaughter has the print now. Thank you for noticing.
